The practice

Across painting, photography, neon sculpture, and illuminated forms, Char explores the tension between presence and disappearance. A blossom, a gesture, a reflected face, or a glowing sign becomes a way of considering how memory and meaning change. Light connects these different bodies of work, acting as both a physical material and a recurring symbol.
